About the Training
Trauma is a physiological, emotional, and psychological experience. While our brains record the trauma and our hearts remember the emotions of the trauma, the body holds the weight of the trauma. Current research supports the value of mind-body approaches in treating trauma.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is an avenue for finding relief from symptoms as an individual explores how the body holds onto trauma, emotions, and memories. This is a gentle and restorative yoga practice focused on the breath, mindfulness and movement. These skills play a dynamic role in helping the survivor experience safety, empowerment, and relief from their symptoms.
This 9-wk webinar-based training will equip you to determine how individuals can benefit from utilizing Trauma-Sensitive Yoga to discover safety in their skin, emotion regulation, and awareness in their experience. You will also learn techniques for your own self-care.
